Sheila is a Certified Solar Installer and Maintenance by the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) of Uganda. For the last 2 decades, she has  consistently worked in the solar industry as a Solar Technician in various capacities. She has had first hand knowledge and experience in Off-grid(16yrs) and On-grid(4.5yrs) solar systems, right from installation to Troubleshooting and Maintenance with vast expertise in using solar Test equipments like I-V Curve trace, Thermal imager, multimeter, etc and thereby generating reports for further analysis. She has very good knowledge of using SCADA system and generating reports as well. However, for the last 2 years, Sheila has trained officially to become a solar Trainer/Instructor on a contractual basis. A role she so passionately, embraces. Between August 2022 to February 2023, under the giz-Uganda PREEEP/SDC, she taught and also introduced students to Renewable Energies and how to use Renewable Energy as income generating activity, to over 60 students in Northern Uganda. The good news is, that most of them have joined the solar industry as technicians and Energy entrepreneurs.
