Remote Energy’s instructional development program gives new PV instructors an opportunity to grow their skills and confidence to deliver effective and safe PV training programs with hands-on labs. We’re seeking to partner with educational organizations who share our mission of high-quality solar training, have a focus on gender equity, and aspire to develop solar training programs in their community.

Through ASPIRE, students have the opportunity to work with a mentor to purchase solar lab equipment, take the virtual Solar Educator training course to learn how to safely teach hands-on labs, host and teach an in-country hands-on lab class, create a plan to increase target number of students trained, and implement overall solar objectives & collect student metrics.

Teaching a solar technical class is a blend of many things - knowledge of the technical information, keeping your students engaged, and managing class dynamics.
Choosing a qualified solar expert is a great starting point - so the technical knowledge can be transferred. We recognize that diversity in the instructor pool is crucial for reaching a broader range of individuals interested in pursuing a career in the solar industry. Moreover, we focus on refining interpersonal skills to manage class dynamics effectively. Our instructors learn to adapt their teaching styles to cater to different learning preferences, fostering an atmosphere where every student feels empowered to ask questions and participate actively in their learning journey.
