Remote Energy’s mission is to train and mentor Solar PV (Photovoltaic) educators and technicians in underrepresented populations worldwide, to bring energy independence, career opportunities and improved quality of life to their communities.

We partners with schools, nonprofits, and workforce organizations to design and deliver high-quality solar energy education and instructor training.

Why Remote Energy?

 

STUDENT-FOCUSED PROGRAMMING

RE’s solar training programs focus on energy access and the development of job-site skills. Classes are adaptable to meet the regional and cultural needs of learners. The PV training program starts with the smallest (affordable) off-grid systems and incrementally builds in size and complexity.

Our online classes are flexible and allow students to complete coursework on their own schedule. Online classes also have live sessions with experienced instructors to answer all your questions!

High Quality Solar Training

At Remote Energy, we believe offering training opportunities to underrepresented communities. Everyone should have access to high quality solar training.

We are committed to training and mentoring marginalized women and men globally to become solar technicians and educators so they, in turn, can bring solar energy education into their own communities. Our custom training programs are designed to be appropriate to the culture, language, and education levels of our students.

Experience

Our multilingual team brings over 100+ years of combined experience in solar electric system design, installation, curriculum development and instruction to the classroom. We have transferred technical and teaching skills to men and women in over 50 countries, over 20 Native American Nations, and 5 regions of the world: Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America.
