James Dailey consults on payments and banking systems for financial inclusion. He is the founder of the Mifos initiative – open source banking – and has worked with USAID, the World Bank, IFC, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on strategies to enable more inclusive economies. Previously he built to scale a venture linking carbon markets to microfinance households and helped launch an open source solution for public health logistics for developing countries with VillageReach. He served on the Board of Climate Solutions for over 15 years. He began his career as a Peace Corps Teacher in Benin and has a Masters in Public Administration from the Evan's School. In his spare time he coaches soccer and plays Ultimate Frisbee. He lives in Seattle.
